On May 17, 2017, the Lieutenant-Governor appointed Kimberly Horwood as Chairperson of the Mental Health Care and Treatment Review Board until April 12, 2018. The following individuals were appointed to the Board for a three year term:
Christina Kennedy and Ian Wallace as Lawyer Representatives;
Dr. Ted Rosales as the Physician Representative;
Noreen Careen, Sandra McKellar, Chad Perrin, Abigail Sheppard, Jerry Vink, and Jerry Young as Public Interest Representatives.
The Board reviews applications made by clients seeking a review of: the certification of involuntary admission, the issuance of a Community Treatment Order and/or an alleged denial of a right.
