On February 3, 2022, Shelley Sullivan was appointed as representative of offshore industry management to the Canada-Newfoundland Offshore Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council for a four-year term.
Part III.1 of the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Atlantic Accord Implementation Newfoundland and Labrador Act establishes the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Off-Shore Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council (the Advisory Council). This Advisory Council is mandated to advise the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board (CNLOPB), the federal Minister of Natural Resources and Minister of Labour, and the provincial Minister of Digital Government and Service NL and Minister of Industry, Energy, and Technology on the administration and enforcement of Part III.1. In addition, the Advisory Council advises on any other occupational health and safety matters referred to it by CNLOPB or the federal or provincial ministers.
