On April 20, 2017, the Lieutenant-Governor appointed the following individuals to the Judicial Council of the Provincial Court:
Bradford L. Wicks, Q.C., Margaret Warren,
Functions of the Judicial Council include considering all applicants for judicial appointment and making a recommendation to the minister with respect to those applicants; receiving and investigating complaints made to it by a judge relating to that judge’s judicial duties and to make recommendations to the minister or the chief judge as it considers appropriate; considering and approving or disapproving judicial transfers; preparing and revising, in consultation with the judges, a code of ethics for the judges of the court; and considering proposals for improving the services of the court and report on the matter to the minister.
