On June 25, 2019, the Lieutenant-Governor appointed the following individuals to the Independent Appointments Commission for three-year terms:
- Gerald Anderson
- Peggy Bartlett
- Edward Roberts
The Independent Appointments Commission was established in 2016, by the Legislature of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, as an independent, non-partisan body to provide merit-based recommendations of qualified individuals for appointment to those provincial Agencies, Boards and Commissions (ABCs) listed in the schedule to the Independent Appointments Commission Act.
